Story

Soft masses of cloud drift across the surface in white, gray, and pale blue, their edges blurred by layered, atmospheric brushwork. The painting, by Dan Hobday, is titled Above Set 1. Light seems to pass through the hazy layers, giving the whole scene a quiet, airborne stillness.

Where it works

Cool-toned artwork suited to dens and living rooms, and to hotel guest rooms, in a vertical format.
