Shades

Story

Soft bands of cream, gray, and black drift across the surface, their brushwork layered into shapes that seem to curl and flow like smoke or water. The forms stay loose and organic rather than fixed. Dan Hobday created this abstract piece, titled Shades.

Where it works

Muted artwork suited to living rooms and dens, and to hotel guest rooms, in a vertical format.
