Spring frost

Story

A frost-covered field stretches beneath a pale sky, where cattle gather near a herder, with trees and fencing marking the edges of the land. The chill of early morning seems to settle over the pasture, rendered in oil and completed in 1919. The artist, Elioth Gruner (1882–1939), was an Australian painter, and this piece, Spring frost, is held at the Art Gallery of New South Wales.
