Story

Rolling dunes thick with beach grass rise above an open shoreline, where pale sand meets a stretch of deep blue water. Small figures stroll near the waterline, scattered under a sky mixing sun and drifting clouds. The scene is rendered in oil on canvas, completed in 1944. Frank V. Dudley (1868–1957) was an American landscape painter.
