Story
A woman dressed in white sits beneath a vividly colored parasol, surrounded by green chairs and lush garden foliage bathed in sunlight. The scene is rendered in oil, completed in 1910. Frederick Carl Frieseke (1874–1939), an American painter associated with Impressionism, captured this quiet outdoor moment. The piece belongs to the North Carolina Museum of Art, acquired through purchase funds provided by the State of North Carolina.
