Story

Glistening metal rods, bolts, and fittings fill the frame, their oiled surfaces catching light in a tight, mechanical close-up. The coupling hardware suggests a railroad undercarriage, rendered in black and white. Gordon Osmundson made this photograph in 1991, part of his Railroad Series.
