Story

A woman in traditional dress carries a red tray, rendered in gray, red, and yellow tones that dominate the composition. The print is a color woodblock, created in 1920. Goyō Hashiguchi, a Japanese painter, ukiyo-e artist, and wood engraver (1880–1921), produced this piece. It entered the Toledo Museum of Art as a gift from Hubert D. Bennett.
