Story

A garden gate stands amid lush vegetation, opening toward a sandy beach where blue water stretches beneath a cloudy sky, with sailing boats drifting near the shore. The scene is rendered in oil on canvas by Guy Bardone, a French artist born in 1927 and died in 2015. Bardone worked as a painter, illustrator, and lithographer within his native France.

Where it works

A cool-toned seascape suited to living rooms and hallways, and to hotel guest rooms, in a vertical format.
