Story

A deep blue field holds swirling yellow and green lines, curling into concentric rings that spiral toward a central point. The shapes suggest a coiled, organic energy against the dark ground. Painted in oil in 1906, the work belongs to a series exploring primordial forms. Hilma af Klint (1862–1944), a Swedish painter, worked within abstract art, developing imagery far from representational tradition.
