Group IX/SUW, No. 23, The Swan

Story

A diamond-shaped arrangement fills the composition, its upper portion holding soft yellows and purples, divided by a red horizontal band across the middle. Below, smaller segments break into greens, reds, and blues, creating a layered geometric pattern. The piece was painted in oil in 1915. Hilma af Klint (1862–1944), a Swedish painter, worked within abstract art, developing this image as part of her Group IX/SUW series.
