Story

A black ground holds rings of cream, blue, pink, and red, arranged in concentric bands and split down the middle by a faint pale line, as if two halves mirror each other. The composition is rendered in oil, completed in 1915. It belongs to Hilma af Klint (1862–1944), a Swedish painter linked to abstract art, whose work is held by the Hilma af Klint Foundation in Stockholm.
