Story

Mirrored organic shapes spread across a dark background, rendered in black, pink, cream, and blue, suggesting cellular or biological forms arranged with careful symmetry. The composition's balance gives the piece a quiet, exploratory feel built on these repeating hues. It was painted in oil in 1908 by Hilma af Klint (1862–1944), a Swedish artist. Her work is associated with abstract art, and this piece belongs to the Hilma af Klint Foundation in Stockholm.
