Story

A round wheel of color, built from several nested rings in varied hues, floats above a row of rectangular blocks arranged on a pale cream ground. The composition is rendered in oil and graphite on canvas, completed in 1920. It belongs to the abstract art of Hilma af Klint (1862–1944), a Swedish painter whose work is held by The Hilma af Klint Foundation, Stockholm.
