My House

Story

A pale house rises behind rows of columns, half hidden by trees wrapped in ivy. The structure is rendered in soft blues, greens, and earthy browns, giving the scene a quiet, muted atmosphere. The piece is painted in oil by John Henry Twachtman (1853–1902), an American artist. He worked within Impressionism, and his notable work Horseneck Brook reflects his approach to landscape painting.

Where it works

Cool-toned artwork suited to living rooms and hallways, and to hotel guest rooms, in a vertical format.
