Story

A young girl stands in a garden, surrounded by playing card figures and strange creatures gathered around her. The confrontation unfolds in black ink, dense with detail across the small figures and foliage. This lithograph was created in 1891 by John Tenniel, a British artist who lived from 1820 to 1914 and worked as a caricaturist and graphic artist, also known for Dropping the Pilot.
