Story

A fragmented drinking vessel dissolves into overlapping geometric planes of cream, brown, black, and grey, its form broken apart and reassembled from multiple angles at once. The composition reduces an everyday object into shifting facets of light and shadow, flattening depth into interlocking shapes. The piece reflects the cubist approach of Juan Gris (1887–1927), a Spanish artist whose work also includes Carafe and Book.

Where it works

Warm-toned artwork suited to dens and media rooms, and to hotel guest rooms, in a vertical format.
