Story
A woman in a yellow dress stands beside a man dressed in a patterned costume, framed against a round blue backdrop, promoting a show of animated puppet performances. The lithographic poster dates to 1890 and was created to advertise Georges Bertrand's moving figures. Jules Chéret, who lived from 1836 to 1932 and worked in France, produced this piece within the Art Nouveau movement, bringing lively color and decorative flair to popular entertainment advertising of the era.
