Story

A tiny mouse dressed in dark clothing stands upright in a snowy field, flanked by two large spotted creatures that tower above it against a plain beige and white backdrop. The scene has a quiet, storybook feel, created in 1967. Leo Lionni (1910–1999), an American artist also tied to Italy and the Kingdom of Italy, worked as a children's writer, designer, and graphic artist.

Where it works

A muted figure study suited to kids' rooms and nurseries, and to hotel guest rooms, in a horizontal format.
