Story

Rings of white dots radiate outward and link together across a warm ochre surface, their terracotta tones tracing pathways that seem to connect one circular form to the next, as if marking sites joined by a single journey. The piece is rendered in acrylic on canvas. It was made by Long Jack Phillipus Tjakamarra (1932–2020), a First Nation Australian painter from Australia.
