Story

A quiet shoreline unfolds with striped tents dotting the sand, scattered figures, sailboats resting near the water, and rocks along the edge, all rendered in muted beige and grey tones. The scene is a watercolor on paper, made in 1971. Its painter, Maurice Brianchon (1899–1979), was French.
