Story

A woman dressed in a blue and gold kimono sits on a wooden deck above a river, watching rain fall as mountains rise in the distance and a lantern glows nearby. The scene is rendered as a color woodblock print made in 1924 by Miki Suizan, a Japanese painter and printmaker who lived from 1887 to 1957. The piece came to the Toledo Museum of Art as a gift.
