Story

A Japanese actor appears in traditional dress, his hair dark and his face pale, with pink tinted eyes and lips. He wears patterned blue and white robes set off by a bright red scarf, portraying the role of Otomi. This color woodblock print was made in 1927 by Natori Shunsen, a Japanese printmaker associated with Nihonga and ukiyo-e traditions, born in 1886 and died in 1960.
