Story
A loose arrangement of sailboats drifts across open water, with soft clouds and a sun hovering in a tan-toned field above them. The scene is rendered in ink, dated 1915. Its maker, Paul Klee (1879–1940), was a German-Swiss artist associated with Expressionism and the Bauhaus. The sheet belongs to the Yale University Art Gallery.
