Story

A woman with blonde hair perches on a wooden bar stool, dressed in a pale fur coat and dark trousers, set against a vividly patterned backdrop of mixed colors. The piece is rendered in oil, completed in 1968. Ralph Fasanella (1914–1997), an American painter also known for Subway Riders, worked outside formal training while also active as a trade unionist.
