Story

A lively corridor stretches across the canvas, lined with tall buildings that rise several stories above the roadway. Cars and figures move along the street, while trees punctuate the sidewalks under a blue sky with a bright yellow sun. The scene is rendered in oil, completed in 1985. Ralph Fasanella (1914–1997), an American painter and trade unionist, also created Subway Riders.
