Story

Rows of brownstone buildings line a busy urban street, filled with residents going about their day, parked and moving vehicles, and a ship visible nearby. The scene glows with red, blue, green, and brown tones, giving the neighborhood a lively, layered feel. Painted in oil in 1995, the work comes from Ralph Fasanella (1914–1997), an American painter also known for Subway Riders.
