Story
A packed shoreline unfolds with roller coasters and amusement rides towering above swimmers and sunbathers, the boardwalk and city buildings behind them washed in yellow, blue, and brown. Ralph Fasanella painted this scene in oil in 1965. He was an American painter and trade unionist, also known for his work Subway Riders. The piece entered the American Folk Art Museum as a gift from Maurice and Margo Cohen of Birmingham, Michigan.
