Story

A bright yellow table holds mushrooms gathered in bowls and baskets, set against a background striped in blue. The composition keeps the arrangement simple, letting the warm tabletop contrast with the cooler patterned backdrop behind the mushrooms. This still life, painted in oil on canvas in 1982, comes from René Genis, a French painter and printmaker who lived from 1922 to 2004.
