Story

A composition brings together sailboats drifting on open water, a vase filled with pink blossoms, and a plate of fruit, all set against bold fields of orange, blue, and black. This piece is a French lithograph by René Genis, a French painter and printmaker. Across his life from 1922 to 2004, Genis worked in France, combining still life elements with a maritime scene in a single layered arrangement.
