Story
A farmstead unfolds across the canvas, with cattle grazing near scattered buildings and tall trees shading the land, all captured in greens, purples, and earthy tones. This oil on canvas was created in 1910 by Robert Polhill Bevan (1865–1925), a British painter associated with the Pont-Aven School. The piece belongs to the Ackland Art Museum, having come from the Joseph F. McCrindle Collection at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
