Story

Terracotta cliffs rise above a stretch of coastline, their rock face softened by patches of green vegetation. Below, blue water meets the shore under a gray sky, giving the whole scene a muted, overcast calm. The piece is a French lithograph titled Cliffs of the South of France. Its maker, Roger Mühl (1929–2008), was a French-German painter associated with the School of Paris.
