Story

Concentric rings, spirals, and parallel lines spread across the canvas in orange and dark grey, forming a dense geometric pattern that fills the whole surface. The composition balances repetition and rhythm, with curved and straight forms interacting across the rectangular field. Made with synthetic polymer paint on canvas in 1987, the piece is the work of Ronnie Tjampitjinpa (1943–2023), an Australian First Nation artist, and is held by the National Gallery of Victoria.
