Story

Golden stalks fill a wide wheat field, with harvested bundles scattered across the ground, distant buildings on the horizon, and a blue sky dotted with white clouds, all rendered in bold brushwork. Vincent van Gogh painted this in oil in 1888; it came to the museum as a gift.
