Story
A dense field of overlapping geometric shapes crosses the sheet, with angular lines and textured forms set against bare cream paper in a tightly interlocked abstract arrangement. The piece is a drypoint made in 1922, part of the Kleinen Welten portfolio. Wassily Kandinsky (1866–1944), a Russian artist associated with Expressionism and the Bauhaus, created this composition.
