Story
A dense network of geometric and organic shapes fills the cream-colored sheet, built up with crosshatching and sharp linear marks that pull the eye across the composition. This drypoint, titled Kleine Welten XII, was made by Wassily Kandinsky in 1922. It belongs to his engagement with Expressionism and the Bauhaus, and the piece is held at the Yale University Art Gallery.
