Story

A two-masted schooner, painted white, rests on blue water under a sky filled with blue and white clouds. The vessel's sails catch light beneath the shifting atmosphere, giving the scene a quiet sense of motion. This piece, titled Fishing Schooner, Nassau, was created by Winslow Homer (1836–1910), an American painter associated with realism, known also for his work A Country Lad.
