Story

A rooster stares straight ahead, its red comb glowing against a pink backdrop. Dark blue and burgundy shapes resembling feathers surround the bird, giving the composition a bold, decorative energy. The piece dates to 2008 and comes from Alexis Rockman, an American painter born in 1962 whose work is associated with pop art.
