Story

A greenhouse interior opens into view, its glass walls framing a wide pink lotus bloom rising above calm blue water. Lily pads drift across the surface while insects dart through the humid air, their wings catching light near the petals. The scene is rendered in oil on wood, completed in 2018. Alexis Rockman (born 1962) is an American painter associated with pop art.
