Story

A lush glasshouse scene fills the composition, crowded with blooming tropical plants, clusters of dangling fruit, and strange botanical forms rendered in bold reds, purples, whites, and greens. The dense arrangement suggests a cultivated jungle enclosed in glass. Painted in oil and acrylic on wood panel in 2004, the work comes from Alexis Rockman (born 1962), an American painter associated with pop art.
