Story
Rows of blue wildflowers spread across the ground, mingling with green prickly pear cacti, while low hills rise in the distance under a soft, pale sky. The composition carries a sense of open, undisturbed land. Julian Onderdonk, an American painter who lived 1882–1922, painted this field of Texas bluebonnets and cacti working within the Impressionist movement, a style also seen in his piece Untitled (Field of Bluebonnets).
