Story
A boat's hull opens into an arrangement of wooden structures and compartments, rendered through curved and angular shapes in green, orange, and tan tones that suggest an abstracted interior rather than a realistic view. The painting, titled Fishboat, was created in 1930 by Arthur Dove (1880–1946), an American painter and draftsperson. The piece belongs to the Metropolitan Museum of Art's collection.
