Story
A woman seated in a yellow chair gazes out at a seascape, rendered in flowing Art Nouveau lines, announcing an international poster exhibition held in Paris. The image was created as a colour lithograph in 1896, promoting the Exposition Internationale d'Affiches. It is the work of Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec (1864–1901), a French artist associated with Post-impressionism, also remembered for At the Moulin Rouge.
