Meeting at the Commons - Lawrence

A crowd gathers in an open green space, figures clustered together as if assembling for a public meeting or shared occasion on the commons. The scene is rendered in oil, completed in 1977. The artist, Ralph Fasanella (1914–1997), was an American painter and trade unionist, also known for his work Subway Riders.
